In this work, a novel glucose quantification strategy is presented in self-powered biosensing device. The analyte the sample oxidized an enzymatic fuel cell and generated charge transferred to capacitor. built-up capacitor voltage at specific time can be directly correlated with concentration of analyte. An electro-fluidic switch placed on paper-based microfluidic channel connects minimalistic electronic circuit cell. modules discriminate voltage, which corresponds particular range. digital semi-quantitative result visualized vía electrochromic displays. As practical application working principle, single-use device has been designed perform screening gestational diabetes mellitus. discriminates between healthy (<7.8 mm), pre-diabetes (>7.8 (>11.1 mm) condition providing reliable result. This single use, printable, disposable autonomous fully powered by contained 3.5 µL sample. It offers energy-saving, environmentally friendly, low-cost solution for Point-of-Care testing. By replacing selective enzyme cell, used measuring other health parameters such as creatinine, cholesterol, or uric acid, among others.
